December Daily 2015

It’s that time of year again when I start thinking about one of my favorite projects of the year – my December Daily album.  December Daily was created by Ali Edwards as a way to document this special, festive time of year.  In our family, that means a lot of the stories I tell are centered around Christmas – but that doesn’t always have to be the case.  Looking back at albums from previous years, I find that the everyday stories I tell are sometimes some of my favorites from the month.

Let’s face it, no matter how hard we try to say it’s not going to be crazy, that is just what December usually ends up being.  For me, doing this album is a way for me to slow myself down a bit & appreciate the time we spend together – the big moments and the small moments.  A way to capture some of the traditions that make this time of year so special to us.  And a way to be intentional about how I spend my time during the hectic holiday season.

If you want to find out more about December Daily, check out Ali’s December Daily posts – they will totally inspire you!  She has kits available to purchase to make the process simple & streamlined and this year she is offering a class, Storytelling with December Daily.  I highly recommend it – it is packed with information & videos and even if you’ve been doing this project for several years like I have, you will take away new ideas to implement!

This past Friday I had a little December Daily prep party with some friends.  We started (and finished!!! Go us!) our foundation pages.  I am using Ali’s December Daily Main 2015 Kit, the Mini Kit by Ashley G, and the Mini Kit by Jasmine Jones.  I’m kinda wishing I had purchased Emily Ley’s Mini Kit, too – those gold numbers are gorgeous!!! Here are a few pics of some of my favorites from my album.

I’ll be posting my completed pages weekly in December, so stop back by & check them out!  And please share links to your December Daily projects in the comments – I love seeing everyone’s different ideas for this project!

Have a great Sunday, friends!
